Overview
Two rows of barrel rollers on a spherical outer raceway carry very heavy radial loads and shock, and self-align.
Spherical roller bearings have two rows of symmetrical rollers, a common sphered raceway in the outer ring and two inner ring raceways inclined to the bearing axis. The design is self-aligning and insensitive to shaft deflection and mounting misalignment.
They are the bearing of choice for heavy equipment under shock loads, such as crushers, vibrating screens, conveyor pulleys and large gearboxes. Tapered bore (K) versions mount on adapter or withdrawal sleeves.
